Quite apart from the fact that it would identify him as a Jedi, Obi-Wan's lightsaber has a particularly high recognition value – especially for Star Wars fans. After all, it’s not only used in the series but also in several films. And twice in the battle against Darth Vader!

Making the prop for the series was no easy task. Theoretically, Obi-Wan's lightsaber is the same model as in Episode III from 2005 and Episode IV from 1977. However, there are some differences between the two versions. The hilt of the 1977 lightsaber was also made up of all kinds of interesting parts. They came from water taps, calculators, aircraft engines, grenades from the First World War and other technical devices. The changes can be plausibly explained by the long service life, possible repairs and the time spent under the hot desert sand.

Even the light and sound effects can be activated at the touch of a button! Fortunately, you don't need the Force to do this as 3 x AA batteries (not included) are enough ;).
