Microgreens are seedlings of vegetable plants, such as radishes, peas or cabbage. They contain five times more nutrients than the full-grown plant at the same weight and have thus earned the name ‘superfood’. They also taste very spicy and fresh, which means they can enhance (almost) any dish.
If that’s not enough reasoning to grow these delicious plants yourself at home, the Microgreens Starter Kit Is sure to convince you. And growing is really child’s play. All you need are seeds and a substrate of your choice – such as soil – and you can get started straight away.
Fill the planting tray with substrate and place it on the water tray. The sowing grid and funnel help you to distribute the seeds evenly. The pressure plate ensures the seeds take root deeply. A cover box is included for microgreens that prefer it dark. If you now give your plants fresh water twice a day, you can harvest your first crop after just 7 to 14 days.
