As anyone can imagine, Special Forces training is no walk in the park. However, the Alliance's ICT (Interplanetary Combatives Training) takes it up a notch. Not only does it consist of training sessions of over 20 hours each, parachute jumps, underwater combat and medical training, but it also includes surviving on limited oxygen on an asteroid.
Who is supposed to manage such a thing? Commander Shepard, of course. The playable character of the Mass Effect trilogy is - no matter what career and backstory you choose for him - endowed with almost superhuman powers. We can only dream of that ourselves. However, since you take on Shepard's role in Mass Effect, for once you get to adorn yourself with his (or her) medals. In the Mass Effect N7 Premium Box you receive the coveted N7 award. As is well known, only very few exceptional soldiers can receive this. That's why this box is also limited to only 2,007 pieces worldwide!
In at least one discipline, we gamers are even superior to the N-candidates. Because playing - er - fighting for more than 20 hours at a time is child's play for us - especially with such an exciting game as Mass Effect. ;)
