Description: Inside3 Labyrinth Cube 0

  • Cube with integrated maze through which you have to lead a small ball.
  • Six difficulties; four of them can be opened and deconstructed to reset the maze.

It started in France, with a simple cardboard box and an even simpler peppercorn. And after a few attempts with a 3D printer the INSIDE³ was born. A simple cube... Well, so it seems...

Inside the INSIDE³ (does that make sense?!) lies a maze, packed with hidden levels through which and you have to lead a small ball until it's visible on the back of the cube...

Sounds simple? Well, it's trickier than you think: You cannot see the ball and thus have to solve the cube mysteries blind.

Depending on the difficulty, a plan of the 7 levels of each maze is visible on the cubes. Less difficult and more difficult passages are realised by dead ends or sudden drop offs – or lack of – for example. In addition to spatial thinking skills and a little sense of direction, the puzzle tests your sensory perception: you can feel and hear the ball when it bounces against a wall, for instance.

What level of difficulty should I choose?
For newcomers, the cube versions in blue or crystal (easy) and green (regular) are recommended. If you're used to puzzles, you'll be challenged by the orange (mean) or red (awful) versions. These four cubes can be opened and deconstructed, so if you lose your ball you can simply start over.

But no opening up the cube with the brown (vicious) and black (mortal) cubes, though! Both are extremely difficult to solve; once you've started, there is no looking back! If the ball is inside the maze, it will be hidden there forever... While the brown cube helps you with the maze's plan, the black cube will leave you in the... well, dark! If you want to see your ball come out at the back, you will need extreme patience, some luck and no lack of skill.

Either that or a hammer ;).

Inventor Romain-Guirec Piotte's future plans:
The plan is to offer 6 different seasons with 6 difficulty levels per season. Once you've collected all the cubes, you'll then be able to build a giant 6 x 6 x 6 cm "Mother cube" and thus create a puzzle dream ... or, we suspect for most of us, a nightmare!

A brand new and highly original puzzle system. Dare you take it on...?
