It’s perfectly normal if you don’t get along with everyone you meet – some things are just not meant to be. It sucks, however, if there are other reasons for the rejection and that the rejected one does not know about and takes personally. More or less the situation depicted on the Oil Bottle “Hydrophobia”.
In this situation, the small oil droplet gets called a hydrophobe by the water droplet – even though the non-polar oil cannot mix with the polar water molecules! After all, chemistry is truly a cruel and harsh mistress…
On the back of the stoneware bottle, the chemical background of the joke is explained, so your guests don’t have to suffer the embarrassment of having to ask for an explanation ;).
Speaking of hydrophobes… the bottle can be cleaned in the dishwasher, as long as you remove the plug beforehand.
