The churros, which actually come from Spain, have become increasingly popular in South Korea since 2010. Before, they were only available on special occasions, such as in amusement parks or at the cinema. Now, more and more shops are popping up in the cities where you can buy them.

By the way, churros are said to have originated in China, from where Portuguese traders brought the recipe to Spain. The Spaniards especially like to eat their churros with chocolate, while in Korea they are now available in a wide variety of flavours. It's exciting what a mix of cultures can produce, isn't it?

The Crown company has launched chips with churros flavour. They are super crunchy and taste great as a snack with coffee or dipped in ice cream or syrup. I'm sure you can think of even more delicious combinations!
