Trading card games like Magic or Yu-Gi-Oh! all follow the same basic concept: you draw cards and try to reduce your opponent's life total to zero. So far, so good. But like any serious game, advanced tactics, shifting meta strategies and other not-so-obvious mechanics challenge even experienced players to be on their toes.
One particularly nasty tactic is shown on the "Control Life" t-shirt: if you manage to get a good control deck going, you can prevent your opponent from doing almost anything. He wants to play a creature? Well, not today! He wants to hurl a fireball at you? Oops, looks like he hit his own creatures "by accident". While he starts to break down into a sobbing mess, you can take control and end this game at your own pace :).
