Cosmic creatures of horror have to keep up with the times, just like everyone else. Which is how come the title of legendary horror writer H.P. Lovecraft’s short story “The Call of Cthulhu” has received its new meaning: instead of relying on ancient rituals, Cthulhu makes a phone call.
The design is based on a smartphone call screen, including the contact name and picture of Cthulhu, the location R’lyeh, a phone number in Cthulhu runes, buttons to either accept or reject the call and so on. In the upper right corner, the time display 19:28 references the year of publication of Lovecraft’s story.
Now all you need to do is make a choice: Will you take a risk and ghost the slimy monstrosity, or will you listen to the call of Cthulhu and possibly go mad?
